Through learning by doing, David Dooghe succeeded the course Spatial Planning Management, organised by the University of Leuven.
The course was a profound one on the creation and development of projects in the urban space, by focussing on the management and organization of a pre-contractual project, as well as on all points and aspects of urban planning projects and on the financial structure of a project.
Part of the course included to, redevelop, in teams, an industrial site in Gent into a new urban area and prepare the whole dossier: RUP, urban design, housing types and financial structure.
The overall lesson learned was that also financial creativity is needed to deliver a successful project.
